A Summer Smoked Oyster Dip for a Backyard Party
Summer is here, and the rate at which we all get invited round to a backyard party is only going to increase. Instead of the generic bottle of wine or the bowl of potato salad, try this recipe for smoked oyster dip from Fanny Bay Oyster Bar in Vancouver, which celebrates its 8th birthday this year. They recommend Original Ekone Smoked Oysters but any brand will work.
Smoked Oyster Dip Ingredients
2 cans smoked oysters
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup Mexican crema
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Juice of half a lemon
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Chives, to garnish
Potato chips, bread or crackers for dipping
Method
Roughly chop the oysters.
Combine oysters and all remaining ingredients together.
Chill for at least 1 hour.
Serve with your preferred dipping snack.
