Few things in life are more delightful than basking in the sun aboard a luxury yacht, sipping a fine wine while unwinding from a day’s activities and wondering what magic the chef will create tonight. But for all the opulent luxuries and culinary treats, the real benefit of spending time on the sea is the mental clarity it inevitably brings. Perhaps that was the thought behind the name of the magnificent motor yacht Clarity.

Built in 2015 by the fabled Turkish builder Bilgin Yachts and sold to a new owner this year, the 48.8-metre Clarity recalls the style and elegance of classic gentleman’s yachts from the 1920s, yet in a thoroughly modern vessel with every modern amenity. The outdoor spaces—an expansive cockpit, a spacious upper-deck lounge area, full walkaround side decks, and an upper-level sun deck—present every opportunity to fully enjoy stunning Mediterranean views and Caribbean vistas whether lounging, waking with morning coffee, or dining al fresco.

Stepping aboard, passengers immediately feel at home in Clarity’s welcoming aft cockpit, which protects from the midday heat while still delivering eye-popping views. Generous seating spaces immediately suggest a glass of bubbly and a classic novel or simply watching the waves drift by.

The adjacent main-deck salon features an open-plan decor that’s equally suited for entertaining or relaxing with family. Exquisitely comfy chairs and a long settee, complemented by extraordinary woodwork and warm, gentle fabrics, create an ideal environment to reconnect while enjoying the sights through expansive full-wall windows in air-conditioned comfort.

The forward end of the salon leads into the principal dining area, with seating for 10. Large windows flood the space with natural light and fresh air to create a comforting environment for the occasional meal indoors.

Far forward on the main deck lies the magnificent, two-level owner’s stateroom, complete with its stunning, forward-facing, 180-degree panoramic views. Abundant storage and walk-in dressing spaces, including a stunning lower-level private head with a freestanding double-sink vanity and a huge double shower, set the owner’s retreat apart.

Guest accommodations on the lower deck include five spacious staterooms, each with a full ensuite, all brightly lit and elegantly appointed to assure a wonderful night’s rest.

Up from the main deck, the upper salon features an intimate lounge area with sofas, a coffee table, and an entertainment unit. An upper cockpit provides sunning and entertaining opportunities with an LED-lit bar and plenty of deck space for further al fresco dining options, as well as a large sunpad and casual seating for lounging throughout the day.

For a more active holiday, Clarity is fully outfitted with an impressive selection of water toys, including paddleboards, inflatable kayaks, Yamaha WaveRunners, fishing gear, snorkelling equipment, water skis, and wakeboards. A full complement of audio visual equipment, from HDTVs to audiophile sound systems, assure relaxing evening entertainment.
