A Chocolatey Cocktail Recipe From Gotham Steakhouse

Golden Hour.

This week, our recipe comes from the talented team at Gotham Steakhouse & Bar. Dubbed Golden Hour, it elegantly combines rich rye whisky, smoky mezcal, and fruit in the form of fig syrup and lemon juice. But the virtual cherry on top of this stunner is the ample amount of chocolate bitters that round the whole thing out. The Golden Hour cocktail is the best way to wind down and take in the sunset—drink and dessert combined.



1.5 ounces Canadian Club rye

0.5 ounces Fandango mezcal

1 ounce fig syrup

1 ounce lemon juice

5 drops chocolate bitters

Lemon peel for garnish



Add all ingredients to shaker tin.

Add ice and shake for 10 seconds.

Double strain.

Garnish with a lemon sail.
