Blenheim Gimlet

A recipe from mixologist Tony Conigliaro.

NUVO News January 2014 Blenheim Gimlet

Taking inspiration from the heritage of Blenheim Palace, home to the Dukes of Marlborough and birthplace of Winston Churchill, the Blenheim Gimlet combines notes of black pepper and citrus to create a clean and fresh flavour.  The black pepper cordial is made in a way that exploits the aroma and flavour of the pepper with no heat coming through.

Ingredients

20 ml black pepper cordial
40 ml Beefeater gin

Method

  1. Combine the gin and pepper cordial in a cocktail tin filled with cubed ice and stir.
  2. Double strain into a small coupette.
  3. Garnish with a small lemon twist.
