Handbags You Can Eat: Louis Vuitton’s New Chocolates for Easter
In a collaboration of craftsmanship and culinary artistry, Louis Vuitton and the celebrated pastry chef Maxime Frédéric have unveiled their latest Easter collection: a selection of chocolates that pay homage to the house’s signature style.
Headlining the release is the Chocolate Egg Bag, a striking edible sculpture inspired by Nicolas Ghesquière’s iconic 2019 handbag design. Crafted from 70 per cent dark chocolate, it features milk chocolate detailing and encloses a rich milk chocolate bar filled with hazelnut gianduja. The piece is a testament to both the craft of meticulous leatherwork and luxurious desserts.
Completing the collection are reinterpreted Easter eggs in sets of three or six. Each egg showcases a distinct flavour profile—raspberry caramel paired with pistachio praline, blue vanilla and caramel with buckwheat gianduja, and Tahitian vanilla with hazelnut praline—all encased in dark or milk chocolate shells.
The exclusive collection is available online or in-store at Le Chocolat Maxime Frédéric, Louis Vuitton, Paris.
