These Canadian Brands Teamed Up for a Collection of Stylish (Après) Skiwear

Quartz Co. and Marie-Ève Lecavalier.

Winter is coming—and so is ski season. But before you pull out your parents’ neon one-piece from the ’80s, consider Après-Ski, a new seven-piece capsule collection of high-performance skiwear from Canadian outerwear brand Quartz Co. designed in collaboration with womenswear designer Marie-Ève Lecavalier. “These are garments that are practical, extremely warm, and lightweight, in silhouettes and shapes that we don’t usually find in the world of women’s performance outerwear,” Lecavalier says. “Designing as a woman in the outerwear industry, I wanted to zone in on the idea of cut and fit, which I find is really lacking in women’s outerwear. These pieces are the ones I wish I could find on the market but have never been able to.”

The collaboration marries performance fabrics with avant-garde silhouettes for a collection that works on the slopes and in the city. The pieces are the result of Quartz Co.’s 25 years of expertise in technical outerwear married with Lecavalier’s experimental approach to womenswear. The capsule includes a billowing down-filled wrap coat, cropped and maxi-length down puffers, a utility-inspired jacket and vest, a quilted lightweight jacket, and a pair of zippered cargo-inspired snow pants, all in on-trend hues of black, royal blue, and oatmeal.

Inspired by the luxurious revelry of après-ski—imagine sloshing your sancerre in a rooftop hot tub overlooking the snow-capped mountains of Vale or Chamonix—the capsule collection embraces couture shapes that are at once timeless and ultramodern without sacrificing quality and craftsmanship. Each piece is made in Canada in Quartz Co.’s factories.

The collection will be available for purchase at Quartz Co.’s De Gaspé flagship and its Ste-Catherine pop-up boutique in Montreal and online at quartz-co.com.
