Canadian Activewear Brand Mackage Taps Tennis Champion Donna Vekić for Its Spring/Summer Collection
With the latest instalment of Protect Your Craft, Mackage continues its journey of finding the intersection between sports and fashion.

When Eran Elfassy founded Mackage in 1999, he had a clear mission: blending fashion and protection to create statement outdoor pieces. Over the last 25 years, the brand has continued its commitment to sustainability and quality with eco-conscious fabrics and packaging.
After a 2024 collaboration with the Croatian footballer and Manchester City defender Joško Gvardiol, Mackage is tapping into the world of tennis for the second edition of its interview series spotlighting athletes, called Protect Your Craft.
The brand’s latest spring/summer collection features Croatia’s leading tennis player, Donna Vekić, at the forefront. A semifinalist at Wimbledon who secured a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Vekić echoes Mackage’s innovative approach to athletic wear and bold style.
“To succeed, you have to protect what matters most—your passion, your mindset, and your ability to push forward no matter the conditions. That’s something I relate to deeply, and it’s what Mackage stands for,” Vekić says.
Designed with all-season dressing in mind, the collection focuses on adapting to different weather conditions with ease. This includes hoodies, pants, shorts, shirts, and a convertible 3-in-1 jacket, with a removable vest for a lighter shell jacket option.
According to Mackage, rainwear performance is at the centre of this collection. The lightweight styles made of ripstop include a waterproof membrane, zippers, and full seam sealing. Each piece was designed for unrestricted movement, with other designs integrating mesh liners for breathability and a specialized material for repelling water.
