A New B.C.-Inspired Cocktail Recipe From D/6 Bar & Lounge

Douglas fir.

Parq Vancouver’s D/6 Bar & Lounge has recently launched a new cocktail menu that celebrates flavours to be discovered abroad. From Mexico to France and all the way to Japan, the cocktails and tasting flights capture the essence of each location and reflect their distinctiveness. This cocktail recipe, the Douglas Fir, was inspired by the abundance of nature in British Columbia. The star ingredient, Douglas fir gin, was made specifically for Parq’s Douglas hotel by Yaletown Distilling Company. Local beer syrup from 33 Acres Brewing is added to earthy herbs and B.C. juices, making for a refreshing “in the mountains” cocktail.

Ingredients

1.25 ounces Douglas fir gin

0.5 ounce Bulleit bourbon

0.25 ounce green chartreuse

0.25 ounce 33 Acres syrup

0.5 ounce lemon juice

2 ounces pear juice

1 sprig of rosemary

Method

Muddle fresh rosemary with all three spirits.

Add remaining ingredients and shake with ice.

Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a clipped rosemary sprig.
