NUVO Magazine: Christian Zuzunaga

In 2007, Barcelona-based designer Cristian Zuzunaga founded an eponymous creative hub; today it produces multicoloured mosaic-like prints and accessories for both homes and humans. Bespoke blankets, cushions, espadrilles, bags, and scarves make up the thoughtful collections, for which the Zuzunaga team draws inspiration from not only the physical, like architecture, but also the philosophical, such as the ideas of Carl Jung, and Eastern and Western philosophy. This combination of process and pensiveness has earned them international acclaim; the “Integrate: Time and Space” collection of pixel-patterned merino wool cushions and blankets was awarded the prestigious Les Découvertes award at last year’s Maison&Objet in Paris.
