Italian Craft, Canadian Chapter: Luca Faloni Opens in Toronto
Shop talk.
W ith its long winters and a growing appetite for menswear, Toronto was always a natural fit for Luca Faloni. Now, the Italian label known for its high-quality cashmere staples has made it official with the opening of its first Canadian store.
The Bloor Street flagship was designed by Italian architect Davide Barreri and reflects the city itself. “Each of our boutiques takes inspiration from its location,” says the brand’s founder, Luca Faloni. “In Miami, we used linen panels for a light, summery feel. In Toronto, we leaned into warmth—woodwork, a cozy bar, even a pool table.” Eagle-eyed customers will notice that the sculptural pendant lighting resembles Toronto’s city hall.

Luca Faloni may have launched online during the direct-to-consumer boom of the mid 2010s, but it was never chasing clicks. While many similar brands burned bright and faded fast, it chose a slower, more deliberate path that has built loyalty. What hasn’t changed is the ethos: timeless Italian craftsmanship at a fair price, made with the finest fabrics by artisans who have honed their skills over decades. “We don’t chase trends,” Faloni says, noting that only three or four new pieces are added each season. “Each piece gets refined year after year until it’s perfect.”
