As the holiday season ramps up, and parties become more frequent, the same rotation of cocktails can get a little boring. To add to your arsenal of festive drinks, this recipe takes the classic martini and reworks it to fit the season. Using Crystal Head Onyx vodka as well as the surprise addition of marmalade, the festive martini is custom made for this time of year.
1 ounce (30 millilitres) Crystal Head Onyx
1 ounce (30 millilitres) Lillet Blanc
1⁄2 ounce (15 millilitres) gentian liqueur
1⁄2 ounce (15 millilitres) dry curaçao
1 tablespoon orange marmalade
4-5 dashes cocoa bitters
Orange peel, to garnish
Add all ingredients except orange peel to a cocktail mixer with ice and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
Double strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with an orange zest twist.
