Italian bicycle brand Abici has friends in high places. Just six months after its founding in 2005, the company put a stylish spin on things, participating in the Pitti Immagine Uomo fashion show in Florence and later catching the eye of some big names at Milan’s Salone del Mobile fair in 2007.
Abici has since gone on to collaborate with some of retail’s biggest brands, teaming with Pantone to release bicycles in four exclusive shades, adding crystal detailing for Swarovski, applying monogramming for Carolina Herrera, and creating a limited run of 150 champagne-toting models with Veuve Clicquot in their signature orange (now used exclusively by the champagne experts for special events).
Although many of these collaborative models are unavailable to the public, Abici’s ready-to-ride models are just as appealing—from the sporty Fuga to the cruiser-inspired Amante Donna Serie ORO, Abici’s line of bikes can marry practicality with aesthetics; and with a wide range of models that include details such as battery operated lights, Abici’s rides retain that one-of-a-kind feel.
