Yves Saint Laurent Museums

A tale of two cities.

Starting in October, two new museums celebrating Yves Saint Laurent will display some of the thousands of garments, accessories, and sketches generated over the couturier’s 40-year career. In Paris, Saint Laurent’s studio of nearly three decades has been recreated so that visitors can follow his creative process from atelier to runway with exhibits alternating between retrospectives and thematic explorations (first up, next year’s Yves Saint Laurent’s Imaginary Asia). Meanwhile in Morocco, along the very street named after Saint Laurent, Marrakesh’s 4,000-square-metre museum designed by Studio KO houses a permanent space dedicated to the designer. The Saint Laurent legacy lives on.
