Spring Fragrances for a Fresh Signature Scent

In full bloom.

Despite some bouts of rainy weather, magnolias and pink cherry blossoms line Vancouver streets and parks. Nature’s ushering in of spring is an invitation to discover a fragrance that has a scent as lovely as the new season’s flora. These newly released or classic fragrances mirror the blissful scents of spring—light, fresh, citrusy, and floral—to mist as a signature scent for months on end.

Chanel Comète

“Fragrance is a language. It can at times, more so than words, reveal a facet of the person who wears it, uncovering a part of their story,” the French fashion house states regarding its coveted Les Exclusifs de Chanel eaux de parfum collection. A celestial symbol, the comet, like the star, has been incorporated into Chanel’s fine creations and jewellery. An accord of cherry blossom blended with musk and iris extract, Chanel Comète is a new scent of sophistication. The new scent will be available on May 1, 2024.

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Florabloom

A bouquet of flowery scents, Guerlain’s Florabloom is a vibrant combination of tuberose, Centifolia rose, violet, and iris with undertones of sandalwood and moss. A remarkable natural occurrence of desert flowers blooming after a rainfall called a superbloom was the guiding light for this blend in the Aqua Allegoria collection. To reuse the bottle, the spray unscrews, and a 200-millilitre perfume refill is available.

Miss Dior Parfum

Famed perfumer and Dior Perfume creative director Francis Kurkdjian reimagines the classic Miss Dior aroma—synonymous with femininity and a fresh, floral scent—as Miss Dior Parfum, which Dior calls “the breath of femininity and youth.”

Inspired by the original Miss Dior fragrance introduced in 1947, Kurkdjian’s interpretation includes prominent amber wood tones of patchouli and Alaskan cedar, alongside mandarin and a jasmine extract, accompanied by notes of strawberries, peaches, and apricots.

Nest New York Lychee Rose Eau de Parfum

A cruelty-free and vegan product, this mix of rose, fresh lychee, pink champagne, and (a touch of) raspberry was inspired by a wedding Nest founder Laura Slatkin attended near Tuscany, where she sipped a pink champagne and lychee liqueur cocktail and nibbled rose, lychee, and raspberry macarons while surrounded by an abundance of roses. A joyful olfactory experience at the wedding, this eau de parfum was modelled after the scents that remind her of the occasion.
