Louis Vuitton expands its repertoire from leather goods and fashion to debut a highly anticipated perfume collection: Les Parfums Louis Vuitton. The master in-house perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud, a native of Grasse, the world’s perfume capital, has worked for the past four years assembling a palette of raw materials for the scents. With the Provençal town’s history strongly connected to fragrance, Louis Vuitton established the creative atelier at Les Fontaines Parfumées, a LVMH estate in Grasse (that houses an actual perfume fountain from the 1920s), where the perfumes are made. The collection of seven fragrances—Rose des Vents, Turbulences, Dans la Peau, Apogée, Contre Moi, Matière Noire, and Mille Feux—will be distributed exclusively via Louis Vuitton boutiques.
