Award-winning mixologist and sommelier Lauren Mote and chef Jonathan Chovancek create seasonal cocktails featuring their handcrafted Bittered Sling Extracts.
Mote has been making this cocktail for years, a blend of cultural flavours from all over the world. As she says, “the name rolls off the tongue rather well, and so does the cocktail.”
30 ml Bacardi 8 Year Old Rum
15 ml Cointreau Orange Liqueur
15 ml Amaro Montenegro
15 ml Simple Syrup
15 ml Yuzu Juice
2 dashes Bittered Sling Denman Bitters
- Shake all ingredients with ice until well chilled.
- Double strain into a single old fashioned glass with a couple of fresh ice cubes.
- Garnish with an orange peel, whose oils are expressed over the top surface of the cocktail, then dropped into the glass.
