Caudalie’s Vegan Collagen Alternative

Skin deep.

Collagen—the hero skin-care ingredient—is derived from animal origins. The protein is found in our bones, skin, muscles, and tendons, but as we age, our bodies produce less of it. Collagen used in skin-care products is taken from bovine connective tissue or fish. Mathilde Thomas, co-founder of Caudalie, along with Harvard Medical School professor Dr. David Sinclair, has developed a vegan alternative with mahogany bark, harvested sustainably in Burkina Faso, Africa. Combined with hyaluronic acid and vine resveratrol, the new Caudalie Resveratrol-Lift collection jump-starts the skin’s collagen production to stave off the development of fine lines and wrinkles.
