Range Rover Redefines Elegance With the London Collection

Range Rover is known for combining intelligent engineering and bespoke details in its signature vehicles. Now the famed British automotive brand has infused these elements, as well as craftsmanship, into a new lifestyle collection, ideal for the Range Rover owner who has an equal affinity for refined clothing and accessories.

Luxury by design, the London Collection comprises scarves, bomber-style jackets, throw blankets, and small Range Rover aluminum sculptures in two shades.

Kimberley Panton, who designed the collection, says the abstract print and motif is a subtle nod to Range Rover’s vehicle designs, with the main influences for the collection based on British midcentury design. “It was important to us to celebrate the interplay of colour and to reflect the eclecticness of London living, while harmoniously juxtaposing modernist lines and forms to create pieces that evoke modern grace, vibrancy, and sophistication,” Panton says.

Handcrafted in Italy and the U.K. from fine silks and wools, the jackets are reversible, featuring a zipper pull inspired by the traditional rotary dials in Range Rover cabins and finished in a signature paint colour, with one of the designs having a bold graphic print design also seen on the scarves.

The scarves, made of 100 per cent silk, highlight centuries-old craftsmanship in the U.K. and Europe. One of the prints, named About Town, is printed by artisans in Lake Como, while the other, Chelsea Blossom, is printed in one of England’s last surviving mills, in Macclesfield, Manchester. The scarves are handcrafted in small batches, with a focus on hand‑finishing techniques such as a hand-rolled edge.

Another highlight is the wool-and-cashmere blanket throws, woven on jacquard looms in Italy and featuring the motif as seen on clothing items throughout the collection.

Against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains at Range Rover Whistler House, the unveiling of the London Collection included pulling the curtain back on Gaea, one of the five new models in the Range Rover Sport SV Celestial Collection.

Inspired by the land and sea, the name for the model comes from the personification of the Earth in Greek mythology. The Gaea model features a soft, muted-green exterior paint finish and a Caraway Windsor leather interior with steel-cut backboards, a natural birchwood finish, and a tonal stitch. Each model—the others are Theia, Io, Sol, and Vega—has unique inscriptions and finishes throughout, such as on the console and treadplates, along with standard 23-inch wheels. All are available as an electric hybrid (soon to be available as fully electric). A test drive in a Gaea showcased the vehicle’s stylish interior, state-of-the-art technology, and reliability on varying terrain.

“The cosmos is a transcendent theme that crosses boundaries, fascinating and uniting people globally,” says Phoebe Lindsay, Range Roverʻs materiality manager. “The idea of mystery and intrigue from the celestial sky was key—the symbolism you can find throughout the collection draws a deeper meaning.”

While the number of models in the Celestial Collection is to be confirmed, the brand has plans for future lifestyle collections later this year. With the London Collection, Range Rover has presented more than just “merch” for an automotive brand, instead blending heritage, craftsmanship, and sophistication. Items from the limited collection are sure to quickly become collector’s pieces, synonymous with “if you know, you know” luxury.
