Julia Roberts Is Officially Muse and Ambassador for Chopard

Julia Roberts and her feel-good familiar smile have taken a leading role as muse and ambassador with Chopard, the Swiss jeweller and watchmaker. The Hollywood celebrity has been a friend of the brand for years—remember the red-carpet moment in Cannes when, barefoot and wearing Chopard jewels, Roberts commented, “If I have jewels like this, I don’t need shoes”—but her first official working gig for the storied jeweller was the Happy Diamonds campaign in 2021, followed by Happy Sport.

Chopard is known as the jeweller of the red carpet, and Roberts, in her new role as ambassador, brings the extra wattage of Hollywood star power. To celebrate this new partnership, Chopard has unveiled a spirited campaign directed by James Gray and dubbed “Chopard Loves Cinema.” In the 12-part digital series, Gray captures Roberts in jovial moments backstage. The first will be unveiled on March 20, the International Day of Happiness established by the United Nations.

The Chopard Happy collections are the brand’s emblem, so it seemed just a matter of time before Roberts, the embodiment of happiness, teamed up with Chopard. Rumour has it that Roberts will be at Watches and Wonders in Geneva later this month, joining Caroline and Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, the brother-sister co-presidents of Chopard. Undoubtedly that signature smile will be in cinematic form.
