A Trip Through Kyrgyzstan
Awe-inspiring landscapes are everywhere in the mountainous central Asian republic.
Dramatic mountain scenery dominates Kyrgyzstan, the central Asian country that lies in the path of the ancient Great Silk Road. Over 90 percent of the landlocked nation is more than 300 metres above sea level, and for photographer Jordan Lancaster-Graham, the dramatic scenery translated into equally striking photographs. His shots from the country highlight the diverse, monumental scenery of Kyrgyzstan from the aforementioned to red rocky outcrops you might expect in Utah and wide rivers carving their way through flatlands. Keep an eye out for the wildlife, including Kyrgyz horses, a vital part of the country’s pre-Soviet nomadic tradition.
