Gee Beauty

Step into Gee Beauty in Toronto’s Rosedale neighbourhood or Miami’s Bal Harbour Shops, and all is calm, bright. Amidst a flurry of activity, as estheticians help patrons get polished for their many holiday parties, there is serenity and order. The salon is family-run, opened by makeup artist Miriam Gee and her daughters Natalie, Celene, and Stephanie in 2005. They oversee a tight operation, and the list of services they offer is extensive: eyebrow threading (they’re known for their Gee Beauty Brow service), lash tinting, waxing, manicures, skin rejuvenation, makeup application (and lessons), and even shaving services for men. New to the menu is the Supreme Medi Multi, a facial that includes Diamond Microdermabrasion, a customized medical mask, and an Intraceuticals oxygen infusion.

Sleek, white surfaces are topped with  products from cult favourites like Dermalogica, Sunday Riley, Oribe, Eve Lom, and SkinCeuticals, along with the salon’s own line of Gee Beauty cosmetics and accessories. In Toronto, lifestyle boutique 6 by Gee Beauty, just next door, carries chic accessories—clothes, hats, scarves—homeware, clothing, and other gift items like Urbanears headphones and Assouline tomes. The boutique is also home to Canada’s only Le Labo fragrance bar, where perfumes are made fresh upon order, labels personalized with the name or message of your choice.
