Drake x Canada Goose
Torontonian successes launch new collaboration.
Canadian rapper Drake’s characteristic relatability can be chalked up, in large part, to both his lyrical sensitivity and subtle personal style. Hardly a flamboyant fashion icon, Drake champions a prep-inflected sporty look epitomized by the polos, plaid shirts, and sweats sold by his October’s Very Own brand. OVO’s recurrent partnership with 60-year-old aspirational outdoor clothing maker Canada Goose, a.k.a “the Range Rover of clothing,” is a natural aesthetic fit—Drake loves a good jacket as much as the next Torontonian, and nothing else quite has the cache of a Canada Goose Chilliwack bomber.
The newest collaboration between the two brands sees a limited edition collection of shearling pilot hats, Italian-made merino wool toques and scarves, and two parkas for men and women, in a light steely grey and a soft, sunrise pink (Drake was photographed in the latter before the official launch). Available at Canada Goose’s Toronto Yorkdale and Calgary Chinook Centre locations, as well as online and at OVO retail stores, a piece of Canada Goose apparel touched by Drake could be just the thing for the Drizzy enthusiast on your holiday list.
