The iconic shoes of Christian Louboutin and the contemporary furniture of Pierre Yovanovitch meet for a series of limited-edition chairs. The Pierre Yovanovitch Mobilier Clam chair has been reinterpreted in nine one-of-kind pieces inspired by “pharaonic goddesses, queens of the stage or queens of the night, chimeras, and heroines of cinema,” Louboutin says, drawing from figures as diverse as Queen Nefertari, Dita Von Teese, Josephine Baker, and Syrena, a mermaid.

The five open-edition Simply Nude chairs are inspired by Louboutin’s Nudes collection that launched just over 10 years ago. Referencing the five skin tones of the original Nude shoes, the wood-colour options include bleached oak, natural oak, patinated oak, and light- and dark-stained mahogany oak. The red soles that have come to define Louboutin shoes are the chair’s feet.

The combined visions of Louboutin and Yovanovitch create a unique style of chair. “This collection is as much of an homage to French savoir-faire as it is to feminine beauty,” Yovanovitch says. “The result is an imaginative ode to women as told through French craftsmanship.”
