Bulgari’s Serpenti Collection Celebrates 75 Years

Bulgari’s iconic Serpenti exudes a sense of seduction and style, be it a ring, necklace, bracelet, or timepiece. Serpents are one of the oldest mythological symbols and have been a source of fascination throughout history. Greek emigrant Sotirios Voulgaris Italianized his name to Bulgari and opened the family business in 1884 in Rome. The first Serpenti piece, a flexible bracelet-watch in gold called Tubogas, was designed in 1948. Bulgari was quick to adapt Serpenti to other jewellery, and over the decades, the reptile has appeared in a range of styles and finishes, becoming the brand’s most identifiable motif. After 75 years, Bulgari Serpenti designs are instant classics that continue to attract and dazzle.
