Writer, designer, pastry chef, fashion ambassador, and entrepreneur, Jackie Kai Ellis is a kaleidoscope of passions and professions. She may best be known as founder of Vancouver’s beloved Beaucoup Bakery, which was born from a romantic decision to move to Paris and study pastry after years working for a design firm. Since selling the bakery, Ellis has floated through the ripple effects of her Parisian adventure, from writing a memoir, The Measure of My Powers: A Memoir of Food, Misery, and Paris, to giving TED Talks. She splits her time between Vancouver and Paris, carving out her passions into bite-sized morsels.
