The Norlan Glass

Glassware to get.

As any scotch connoisseur will tell you, there is a science to the perfect sip. Aeration and aroma influence each other in an invisible back-and-forth that influences taste. A classic crystal tumbler is designed so that drinkers can maintain eye contact while sipping; the open brim, however, diffuses the aromatics of the spirit. Enter the Norlan, intended as the ideal glass for whisky. Thanks to the expertise of master distiller Jim McEwan, the double paned, stout, hourglass-shaped glass directs aromatics toward the nose and creates a wave when the spirit is swirled to aerate the whisky and evaporate ethanol for the most mellow swig possible—intended for those who like their scotch neat.
