Meet the New Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Skelet-One Models
When Jaquet Droz released the Grande Seconde, it didn’t take long for the watch to become a cornerstone for the brand. The timepiece is an interpretation of an 18th-century pocket watch with two intersecting dials that form a figure eight—an hour and minute subdial at 12 o’clock and a large second indication at 6 o’clock. Over the years, the Grande Seconde collection has introduced all sorts of complications and dial variations. The skeletonized architecture of the Grande Seconde debuted in 2018, making a bold statement with the use of ceramic for its case.
For 2021, the Grande Seconde Skelet-One itself is not new, but rather interpreted in new colours: green, sky blue, and yellow. The new colourways, each limited to 28 pieces, are equipped with the maison’s calibre 2663 SQ self-winding movement that includes a balance spring, pallet lugs, a double barrel, and an 18-karat gold oscillating weight nestled in the rim of the 41.5mm case.
A new palette of colours for the Grande Seconde Skelet-One to brighten your watch collection this spring: which one will you choose?
