Bowmore Debuts Its New Sherry Oak Cask Collection Across Canada
The Islay distillery’s new four-whisky collection celebrates a key component of its whisky’s identity.
At almost two and a half centuries old, it’s safe to say that scotch whisky distillery Bowmore has established its own way of doing things. But like any premium spirits brand, its traditions have never come at the expense of progress. Over the years, the brand has initiated a pioneering partnership with Aston Martin and collaborated with avant-garde composers alongside a host of other inspired whisky releases. Now, with the addition of the new Sherry Oak Cask Collection to its permanent stable of whiskies, the storied distillery is once again putting progress first.
Consisting of 12-, 15-, 18-, and 21-year-old expressions, the Sherry Oak Cask Collection leaves little to the imagination, with its name expressing exactly what it celebrates: the beguiling flavour-imbuing qualities of the spent barrels used to make Spain’s most famous fortified wine. According to Bowmore’s senior brand manager, Rob Tucker, “this collection showcases the exceptional role of Spanish oak Sherry casks in elevating and enhancing the depth and complexity of Bowmore’s signature style.”
Bowmore Sherry Oak Cask Collection is now or will soon be available in major cities across Canada.
