The much-anticipated West Coast Modern Week, presented by British Pacific Properties, is returning to Vancouver this year, running from July 5 until July 10. The week celebrates modern architecture and design that pays homage to the West Coast and its unique topography. British Columbia is known for its abundant nature— thanks to its lush forests, sublime mountains, and the Pacific Ocean sitting at its feet, the West Coast presents a unique landscape for architecture. One with an equally unique set of challenges to overcome when building.

The week’s events are presented by the West Vancouver Art Museum and will include an itinerary of panel discussions from a multi-disciplinarily group of design and architecture experts; two film screenings; a poolside cocktail party at a private residence; the Annual Barry Downs Lecture Series with a presentation by Dr. Michael Prokopow; the 16th Annual West Coast Modern Home Tour and After-party; and last but not least, a private West Coast jazz concert featuring the Cory Weeds Sextet.
