Fashion designer L’Wren Scott is known for her flattering sartorial construction, glamorous pieces, and rock ’n’ roll arm candy (Mick Jagger). This winter, the women’s fashion mogul joined forces with Banana Republic for her first-ever collaboration with a global fashion retailer, and has designed a capsule collection with holiday parties in mind. Blouses, skinny jeans, and shift dresses in lipstick shades of magenta, deep red, and violet anchor the collection, which has over unique 50 pieces. All garments are designed to mix-and-match Scott’s candy stripe, peony, and lip prints with her more embellished and textured items including sequined cardigans, faux-fur boleros, and jackets in rich velvet, brocade, and tweed. Scott, whose eponymous ready-to-wear line launched in 2006 with a niche Little Black Dress collection, describes her Banana Republic collaboration as “beautifully combining ultra-feminine with wearable polish”.
The capsule is available at select Banana Republic retail locations worldwide and online.
