MB&F and L’Epée Create Albatross, a Tabletop Clock

The ultimate in home decor.

Albatross

Let’s talk about the Albatross in the room: the tabletop clock in the shape of an aircraft co-created by MB&F and L’Epée 1839. Albatross, at a weight of 17 kilograms, is a mechanical work of art. It is a repeater and an automaton with spinning propellers, made up of 1,520 components across two movements, and has an eight-day power reserve.

The aircraft springs into action as the clock strikes the hour, with its propellers whirling for about seven seconds. Made from brass, steel, and aluminum, it offers a choice of colours—blue, red, green, champagne, and black—each limited to eight pieces. While it also tells the time, it is the ultimate in home decor.
