Louis Vuitton’s Perfumed Candles
Scent memory.
Louis Vuitton is renowned for accompanying globetrotters abroad with its iconic luggage, but the brand’s new line of candles is tied to the comfort of returning home after a long journey. The hand-poured candles, scented by perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, sit in ceramics designed by Marc Newson, who added hardware-inspired details evocative of the maison’s signature bags.
L’Air du Jardin is a floral scent with notes of spring rose. Île Blanche evokes Mediterranean bliss with breezy jasmine and neroli, and warm base notes of cardamom and citronella. Feuilles d’Or is a walk in a fragrant forest with notes of Indonesian patchouli and Peruvian balsam. Dehors Il Neige is reminiscent of a cozy winter afternoon with its profile of star anise, cinnamon, and a crisp top note of raspberry.
