The Old-Time Elegance of Christopher Howard Suitcases
Making the case.
The contents of someone’s luggage can be as revealing as a diary entry, but what does the case itself divulge? For those toting an item from the debut collection of leather goods company Christopher Howard, the evidence suggests the carrier is a contemporary world traveller with a penchant for old-time elegance. Handcrafted at Christopher Howard’s Toronto atelier, the sleek cases are trimmed in bridle leather from English tanneries, with golden brass embellishments made in Italy.
There are three suitcase silhouettes—the classically simple Cabin, the Savile with alligator-embossed calf leather, and the Riviera complete with a hand-stitched pocket for your passport—while the Diana Mini Trunk provides an elegant take on the handbag, and the Vanity Case’s leather bottle holders secure precious cargo and cosmetics. Thinking outside the box? You can commission a completely bespoke creation, including precise colour matching and exteriors of ostrich or python.
