Wrist Check: The Hermès H08

When Hermès launched the H08 timepiece in 2021, it was one of the standout novelties of the year. The cushion-shaped watch, neither round nor square, was a new silhouette, “a new form,” as Philippe Delhotal, artistic director for La Montre Hermès, said at the time. Hermès has a penchant for creating objets d’art rather than mere luxury products, and such is the case with the H08. The new H08 models keep the 39mm x 39mm case-size proportions but are lighter as a result of the glass-fibre-composite case material. The new pop of colour—a choice of yellow, green, blue, or orange—with a matching rubber strap makes this the ideal accessory for sun-drenched days on the Côte d’Azur.
