Collecto: For the Love of Entertaining

Elevated tableware.

There is an art to setting the table, and it happens to be one Federika Longinotti Buitoni is very good at. The Venezuelan Italian entrepreneur founded Collecto, an online marketplace for tableware, home accessories, and kitchen items, in 2019 after noticing a frustrating lack of distinctive options when building her own wedding registry. Previously in the fashion industry, including five years at Moda Operandi, Buitoni felt compelled to follow her love of entertaining to build something of her own.

Three years later, Collecto has established itself as a well-equipped and thoughtfully curated collection of high-quality home goods. From hand-finished Murano glasses by Stories of Italy to classic Cabana dinner plates with hand-painted floral motifs, Collecto’s brands range from emerging to established but share a regard for exemplary craftmanship and design. Buitoni’s tastes draw from the vibrant cultures of both her parents, building cheerful and colourful settings that let the good times roll.

In addition to the wide curation of goods, Collecto also offers bespoke curation services, creating customized collections according to a client’s needs and tastes. The Collecto ethos revolves around fostering the connection that happens when people gather at someone’s home. It’s being at the table that means the most.
