Louis Vuitton x Fornasetti
A capsule collection that covers millennia of style.
The latest collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Italian decor atelier Fornasetti brings a new dimension to the world of visual creativity and fashion. The fall/winter collection draws on oeuvres and themes from the 13,000-piece Fornasetti archive, located in Milan.
Marrying the traditional with the avant-garde, the collection features rich colours reminiscent of Roman frescoes, luxurious textures, and techniques such as jacquard, embroidery, and laser-printing. Velvet dresses graced the runway, as well as jersey tops printed with Fornasetti illustrations over thermal-camera imagery.
An accompanying capsule collection will include a wider selection of Louis Vuitton leather goods, trunks, ready-to-wear, and accessories.
