Housed in a multilevel space with art deco accents and South American influences, and serving delicacies such as serrano ham aged for 24 months, Leña Restaurante offers a dining experience that’s glamorous yet wholesome.
Spread over two floors, Harvey House is an inviting space, with warm wood and marble surfaces, a lively open kitchen, and locally-discovered vintage fixtures. The Papachs transformed the old train station over a three-year period, building a 2,000-square-foot prep kitchen, changing the layout, and enclosing a former train platform in glass.
The river is fully in view from Javá, a new rooftop restaurant designed by Studio Pim, an interior design practice headed by Perrine Velge.
In person, one can see how the designers have interpreted these themes into the language of a modern restaurant in the historic Montreal neighbourhood.
Adi Goodrich’s latest project is Wine and Eggs, a newly opened natural wine and provisions shop in Los Angeles’ Atwater Village that synthesizes much of her work over the past decade.
Neutral shades are contrasted by a dynamic palette of colours with metal chairs in yellow and flesh pink along with leather-like upholstered benches and geometric suspension lighting.
