Ed Pien has taken his time telling the story of his upcoming exhibition Present: Past/Future at the Art Gallery of Ontario—but that seems appropriate. After all, a story about time is best told when it’s steeped in it.
Hito Steyerl: This is the Future, is on now at the AGO. The show, curated by Adelina Vlas, displays works created by Steyerl over the last fifteen years.
This exhibit is an exploration of the everyday, focusing on the Impressionists through the lens of the Industrial Revolution and its aftermath.
Fifty of Stettheimer’s theatrical multimedia works will be on display for the first-ever Canadian solo exhibit of her work.
“At first, I thought, me? It’s like asking Jim Carrey to curate a Courbet show,” says world-famous actor and writer Steve Martin, who has co-curated an exhibit on Group of Seven artist Lawren Harris.
