Tiffany & Co.’s Latest Blue Book Collection Captures the Shifting Beauty of Marine Life
Sea of Wonder is a luminous ode of yellow diamonds, rare gems, and sculptural designs.
Blue Book, released annually since 1845, is the apogee of Tiffany & Co.’s creative achievement, where the most beautiful and rare geological finds go to shine. For Blue Book 2025, Nathalie Verdeille, chief artistic officer of jewellery and high jewellery, and Victoria Reynolds, chief gemologist and vice-president of diamond and gemstone acquisition, team up yet again for Sea of Wonder, a collection inspired by the mysteries and majesty of the ocean. The oceanic theme is a recurring one for Tiffany & Co., but as Reynolds notes, Sea of Wonder “showcases a deeper and more abstract interpretation of the sea. We shift from more literal designs and motifs to sculptural and abstract creations that uplift exquisite patterns, textures, and volumes.”

This year’s Blue Book high-jewellery collection is more than a tribute to the ocean; it’s a continuation of a legacy defined at Tiffany & Co. by Jean Schlumberger, the most iconic designer in the house’s history. Schlumberger was captivated by the sea, and throughout his career he translated marine life into high jewellery, crafting starfish brooches, sea urchin-inspired forms, and fantastical interpretations of coral and shells. “This collection dives into the depths of the sea and explores the house’s rich archive and Schlumberger’s legacy through a new lens,” Reynolds says. Pieces draw from marine life, and colours mimic deep-sea light, including in the house’s signature yellow diamonds—a stone celebrated by Schlumberger. Tiffany & Co. has long been known for its exceptional yellow diamonds (notably the iconic 128.54-carat yellow diamond), prized for their intense saturation, clarity, and brilliance, and in Sea of Wonder, these stones take on a new life, reimagined as sunshine piercing water or the flicker of light on a wave. Sea of Wonder translates the natural world into enduring design.
