The Drei Berge Collection Pays Homage to the Swiss Alps

Historic Swiss brand Fischbacher 1819 and artist Ramdane Touhami come together to present a collection of sophisticated home accents.

Fischbacher 1819, the Swiss brand that specializes in luxury textiles, has collaborated with French-Moroccan artist Ramdane Touhami on an exclusive collection of brightly coloured wool curtains and a throw. Showcased at this year’s Milan Design Week, the Drei Berge Collection is three designs that coincide with the changing seasons—including a 100 per cent wool curtain fabric for the winter months and a lighter version for the summer heat.

The choice of wool was part of Fischbacher 1819’s aim of upholding manufacturing traditions while using sustainable, recycled textiles. Touhami brings a contemporary vision to the materials, using vibrant colours inspired by the Jungfrau, Eiger and Mönch mountains in the Swiss Alps.

“My love of hiking and the mountains led me to the Swiss mountains and Mürren, and my reimagining of the Drei Berge Hotel,” Touhami explains. “The stunning location in which the hotel sits has led me to this collection with Fischbacher 1819. Creativity is an evolving process, and I am happy and lucky enough to be able to apply it in new ways every day.”
