Watches and Wonders 2024

On the eve of the fair.

Watches and Wonders, the annual event in Geneva, is set to begin on Tuesday when the Swiss city becomes the capital of time. From April 9 through 15, collectors, enthusiasts, retailers, and press are like kids in a very large and expensive toy store as the great unveiling of novelties takes place at the Palexpo convention centre. The fair sets the agenda for the year, with the latest releases and innovations from the top brands in the industry, a total of 54 exhibitors, including A. Lange & Söhne, Cartier, Chanel, Chopard, Grand Seiko, Hermès, Hublot, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Oris, Panerai, Patek Philippe, Piaget, Rolex, Roger Dubuis, Tag Heuer, Tudor, Vacheron Constantin, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Zenith.

The 2024 program has been designed for all—those completely new to horology, along with watch enthusiasts, and experienced collectors—with the fair open to the general public from April 13 to 15. It’s an opportunity to take a deep dive into the culture of watchmaking and get an inside look at the inner workings of an industry that is fuelled by creativity and craft.

The booths—more like architectural creations—are sometimes as much of a spectacle as the watches themselves, as brands attempt to outdo each other in offering a boutique experience within the halls of the Palexpo. Watches and Wonders is a bucket list event for watch lovers, and as in past years, expect coverage for the duration of the fair as NUVO editor Claudia Cusano reports on the novelties.
