Chanel has a history of Brobdingnagian runways and for its spring 2023 haute couture presentation, large plywood animal sculptures by French artist Xavier Veilhan took pride of place at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris.
On from March 2 to September 8, 2019, the showcase features 150 haute couture and prêt-à-porter designs created between 1977 and 2014, highlighting many never-before-seen pieces.
The MMFA will host the first-ever exhibit dedicated to Manfred Thierry Mugler, one of the most influential designers of the eighties and nineties, in February 2019.
The Dutch designer is committed to the traditional methods of creating clothing while also integrating innovative techniques to create 3-D–printed haute couture.

Client fittings happened either in the salon downstairs, or upstairs in the area now occupied by Karl Lagerfeld.
