Atelier C by Nicholas Francoeur

Reverent retreat.

Atelier C began as a country retreat for a couple but eventually turned into a full-time abode. The exteriors project a sense of thoughtful encapsulation and are also sculptural in the way the black angles rise from the crisp woodland scenery.

Skigard Cabin by Mork-Ulnes Architects

Norwegian wood.

The duo focused on the material vernacular of the region to construct the cabin.

Light & Dark House, Designs for Living, Autumn 2017

Light & Dark House

A Gianni Botsford design in London.

In this five-storey Georgian house in Bloomsbury, London, architect Gianni Botsford has created a visual tension between abundant and minimal lighting.

Serpentine Galleries

Bjarke Ingels Group’s Unzipped Pavilion in Toronto and Vancouver
