Patrick’s Pot
An Irish-inspired cocktail for St. Patrick’s Day.
One week out from St. Patrick’s Day, many people might be looking for a way to enjoy themselves without drinking pint after pint of Guinness. Patrick’s Pot, from The Victor in Vancouver, combines smooth Irish whiskey with sweet coffee liqueur and a small amount of the obligatory stout. Inspired by the tale of St. Patrick convincing an innkeeper to be more generous with his pours, it is a surefire way to celebrate on March 17.
Patrick’s Pot Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounces Jameson Irish Whiskey
1/2 ounce Kahlúa coffee liqueur
1/2 ounce lemon juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup
2 ounces stout
Ice
Method:
Add the stout to a rocks glass.
Combine the whiskey, coffee liqueur, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Shake well with ice.
Strain mixture over top of the stout.
