Gone are the glory days of the mainstream radio serials, but the concept has been revived in the form of Welcome to Night Vale. The popular podcast takes the form of a community radio show that describes the unnatural goings-on in the fictional, absurdly humorous desert town of Night Vale.
Shelagh Rogers rules benevolently as queen of the airwaves and den mother to 1.3 million Canadians a week, as host of This Morning on CBC Radio One. This particular morning, after the red “on-air” light went out, we turned the tables on Shelagh by getting her to answer questions instead of asking them.
