Vipp Hotel
No vacancy.
Known for crafting a MoMA-worthy trash can, Danish brand Vipp has brought its innovative sensibilities to the hotel world. Check in at a Vipp Hotel, and it immediately hits full occupancy: the high-ceilinged Vipp Loft hosts a maximum of four guests above the company’s Copenhagen head office; Vipp Shelter’s 592-square-foot steel pod, perched on the edge of Sweden’s Lake Immeln, makes for a cozy wilderness stay for two.
A third destination is on the horizon: slated to open later this year, Chimney House, also in Copenhagen, will be built from the brick ruins of a heritage water pumping station. More than a simple getaway, all locations promise a true Vipp experience. They’re outfitted completely in the brand’s offerings so that guests can experience everything from a full kitchen to a lounge chair—and, of course, the famous trash cans.
