L.A.’s Hotel Figueroa was built by women, for women, in 1926. The building, in downtown Los Angeles, was once a YWCA where women travellers were welcomed without a male chaperone. The founders wanted a place that would spark conversation, promote creativity, and uplift women. Today, the newly restored 268-room, Spanish Mediterranean hotel is highlighting women’s accomplishments through the H.E.R. Suite, one of two fully outfitted “self-care specialty suites.” The other is the Rest, Relax, Recover, Reset Suite.
