Aiming to bring art and community together, Fredericton’s beloved Beaverbrook Art Gallery has unveiled its new expansion. The dazzling 9,000-square-foot Harrison McCain Pavilion by KPMB Architects completes the gallery’s three-phase expansion across from the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick. The elegant façade of precast concrete and glass allows passersby to peek inside at the local works of art and the new public spaces.
Galerie Philia has a vast roster of talents, emerging and established, each representing a measured eclecticism that embodies art in all its forms. And while Ygaël Attali curates exhibitions at each of his permanent locations, it is the nomadic exhibition, Transhumances, that is garnering plenty of chatter.

The chintz created by India from the 1600s was unparalleled to anything else at the time. Indian artisans had not only mastered an immense chemical knowledge in order to apply bright dyes onto cloth, but they also managed to monopolize a global trade of the textile.
Set to launch in October 2017, the new Remai Modern will be an artist-centred institution unlike any Saskatchewan has seen.
