Tiffany & Co. Atlas Collection
Tiffany & Co.’s most recognizable symbol to date may be its trademark blue box, but the jeweller is no stranger to an icon of another kind. The Atlas clock, a project originally commissioned by Charles Tiffany and sculpted by Henry Frederick Metzler, has stood outside Tiffany & Co. stores since 1853, acting as a declaration of destination as much as the Tiffany signage beside it. In 1980, the first piece inspired by the statue was introduced: the Atlas wristwatch, and in 1995, a full collection was born. This year the pieces were revived with streamlined contouring, diamond detailing, and the introduction of bangles. Available in 18-karat rose, white, or yellow gold and outfitted with the classic Roman numeral motif, the Atlas collection’s pendants, rings, earrings, and bracelets remain symbols of an empire.
