Fendi’s Peekaboo Inner Beauty Invites a Closer Look
Beauty within.
Certain styling tricks can make any outfit hard to resist. There’s the blazer draped casually over one’s shoulders, a shirt tucked in just the right amount, or a scarf tied so elegantly it begs for a second look. This season, Fendi is turning styling flourishes inside out, literally, with its Inner Beauty Peekaboo bag. This updated version of the Peekaboo debuted in Milan on the spring/summer 2026 runway, where brightly dressed models carried the open, unclasped bags to reveal each one’s bold interior. When left undone, the cleverly constructed bag appears slouchy and nonchalant, leaving its front flap to fall into a cheeky “smile.” To live up to the bag’s name, the inner linings of these new accessories are covered in handcrafted embellishments in bold colours. There are brown and camel leather styles, which reveal purple, green, and turquoise paillettes inside. Others feature studs, crystals, and intricate floral motifs. These playful accessories were first seen during Silvia Venturini Fendi’s final runway show for the brand, where they complemented a collection full of geometric patterns and pops of colour.

After years of staid minimalism and quiet luxury, the Inner Beauty Peekaboo is an invitation to turn up the volume, combining the Roman fashion house’s inherent quirkiness with its unparalleled artistry.
